Thank you for the opportunity to quote for the hire of our coaches and driver with out standard Terms and Conditions of hire.
A quotation from Royale Coachlines does not infer availability of our coaches. Availability will be confirmed on acceptance of quotation and deposit. Quotations are in New Zealand currency and include GST. Quotation does not cover driver’s accommodation and meals unless specified. Our requirements are that the driver’s accommodation be of their own room with facilities.
Alterations to travel itineraries.
Alterations to travel itineraries at any stage may incur extra charges. This is based on extra kilometres and time incurred. Any extra charges incurred must be paid for by end of tour.
Should the hirer cancel within 7 working days Royale Coachlines reserves the right to charge a fair and reasonable cancellation fee. Cancellation within 48 hours of hire will be at the discretion of Royale Coachlines for the refund to be reimbursed.
New Zealand Transport Regulations state that tour coach drivers cannot be on duty or driving for more than 13 hours in a 24 hour period. The period includes travel time to and from pickup and drop off points, unloading and loading of coach. A 30 minute rest break must be taken after maximum period of 5 ½ hours of driving and on duty work time. A minimum of 10 hours break must be taken in any 24 hour period. We recommend you check with Royale Coachlines or your driver. Plan around 12 hours of your itinerary per day. This is of importance when you are planning dinner transfers after a full day of touring.
Payment structure is a 10% deposit with payment in full 5 days prior to hire unless otherwise agreed for payment 20th of the following month. Interest of 3% per month will apply to late payment. Payment can be made by cash, cheque or internet banking. Any expenses, legal costs, debt collection agency costs will be paid by the hirer to Royale Coachlines. For international transfer payments a bank fee will apply extra to quotation.
Liability. Royale Coachlines does not accept responsibility for loss or damage to property left on coach. Passengers leaving property on coach do so at their own risk. Royale Coachlines does not guarantee to complete any journey in a given time. In the event of breakdown or drivers health, Royale Coachlines will arrange alternative coach and/or driver at the expense of Royale Coachlines. Royale Coachlines accepts no responsibility or liability for additional costs, any loss or inconvenience caused by delays or unusual circumstances which are out of our control, such as weather, road closures and ferry cancellations.
Royale Coachlines reserves the rights to recover or charge any increases to fuel increase, GST increases, Road User Charge increases that occur after quotation and prior to departure.
The hirer is liable for the first $500 for any willful or reckless damage that occurs to the coach over the duration of the hire. The hirer is liable for a $300 clean up fee for any excessive mess on the coach. Smoking is not permitted on the coach at any time.
